Platanos Maduros Fritos

Serving Size: Makes about 5-6 servings per plantain

Ingredients:

  • Ripe Plantains

  • Frying oil


Prep:

  • Allow the plantains to fully ripen, basically until they turn almost fully black. If you buy yellow plantains, this will usually take about 5-7 days,


Directions:

  • Peel the plantains and cut at an angle for longer slices

  • Add at least an inch of oil into a frying pan and bring to a medium-high heat

  • Fry the plantains until they turn golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

  • Remove and dry on paper towels

  • Serve immediately

 

Notes & Comments:

  • I personally like to fry the plantains until they edges burn slightly and get crispy.

PLATANOS MADUROS FRITOS


Pele el platano y cortelo en lascas largas. Frialas en la sarten con aproximadamente una pulgada de grasa caliente, haste que se doren bien. Escurralos sobre un papel absorbente.
